Students will learn that going online is sort of like going outside. It's safe, as long as you remember some simple rules to be safe online and acknowledging that information can spread fast and far. First 3 minutes will be introduction of the teacher and students. Next 10 minutes will be watching an animated video on the topic from a credible source that highlights the important rules for the topic discussed for that class. Students will write the rules/notes as we are watching and discussing them. They may use graphics/flowchart/concept maps for noting these concepts as well. Next 32 minutes will be taking the quiz, working on questions on reinforcing the concepts discussed in the class. These may be in the form of Matching, Choosing the correct option, True or False, scenario responses etc. The teacher will go on discussing the quiz choices as the students take the quiz and as we move on together on each question. Last 5 minutes student will share his/her learning by either speaking or by drawing a graphic/poster/drawing. Online Safety Rules RULE 1: Online life is real life. RULE 2: Keep your identity a secure RULE 3: Be extra careful with strangers. RULE 4: Tell somebody if bullied online RULE 5: Protect your passwords RULE 6: Be nice.
