In this class, the students and I will discuss the 6 habits I have created to help them in their writing journey. These habits will help students get started writing and will help them improve their creative writing if they are already familiar with it. The class will mostly be conducted in a lecture format with a PowerPoint, but I like to discuss each point with everyone to encourage their own ideas. I also like to include an image workshop at the end of class to start their writing journals. This class is for beginners and intermediate writers as it was created to get individuals started writing, while also improving their technique. Students will only need a journal (or a notebook they like) and a pen (or pencil) for this class. If you are interested in participating in this course but the time doesn't work for you, please let me know what CST time and day you are interested in. I will do my best to accommodate your student's schedule. Looking for multiday or camp-style options? Check out these creative writing classes! Hi everyone! I am Teacher KerrieAnn. Here at Outschool, I enjoy teaching a variety of English classes ranging from skill-specific classes to overall improvement.
I enjoy teaching the skills I learned through my B.S. from Middle Tennessee State University. I studied how to write fiction pieces ranging from poetry and short stories all the way to novels. Given this, I love to teach students how to write their preferred type of fiction while also encouraging them to try something new. I also enjoy teaching students how to develop their writing "toolbox" and grow through the process of storytelling!
Given that I am a writer myself, my classroom environment is founded on mutual respect. Meaning, it is an encouraging, kind, and fun environment to discover and learn within.
I hope that my classes will strike new interests and passions that students can share with others and use to grow their wealth of knowledge.
