Learners will use graphic organizers to write TWO "how to" informative paragraphs. This is a small group virtual English class and one I WISH I'd had when I was learning how to write in second (2nd) and third (3rd) grade.

Class experience

US Grade 2 - 4
This class is taught in English.
Students will learn how to use a graphic organizer as a prewriting tool.
Students will learn about the "How To" or "procedural" style of writing.
Students will learn how to write an informative paragraph with transition words, and both topic and closing sentences.

Judy taught writing to kindergarten through fourth-grade students in public schools for over thirty years. For almost a decade she had a small business that focused on literacy and creative writing. She's also a cat owner and a WONDERFUL "dog aunt".
