📝 Class Description: Want to become a masterful Dungeon Master? In this ongoing weekly class, you’ll develop the skills to run exciting and immersive Dungeons & Dragons campaigns! Each week, we’ll explore different aspects of being a DM, from world-building and storytelling to combat mechanics and improvisation. Whether you’re brand-new to DMing or want to refine your skills, this class will give you the confidence and tools to lead unforgettable adventures. Each session will include: ✔️ A focused lesson on a key DM skill ✔️ Group discussions & brainstorming ✔️ Hands-on practice & creative challenges ✔️ Q&A and troubleshooting for your own D&D games 🗓️ Weekly Topics (Examples, Rotating Themes): 🔹 World-Building Deep Dive – Creating settings, lore, and NPCs that feel alive 🔹 Improvisation & Player Choice – How to adapt when players go off-script 🔹 Crafting Memorable Villains & Monsters – Making encounters challenging and fun 🔹 Homebrew & Rule Variants – Customizing the game for unique experiences 🔹 Storytelling & Narrative Arcs – Keeping players engaged in long-term campaigns 🔹 Managing Player Personalities & Conflict – Keeping the table fun and fair 🔹 Live DM Practice – Learners take turns running short encounters with feedback 🎭 Some weeks will focus on theory & planning, while others include interactive roleplay and scenario-building! 🔎 Who is this class for? ✨ Teens (Ages 13-18) who love D&D and want to improve their DM skills ✨ Aspiring Dungeon Masters who need guidance on running games ✨ Current DMs who want fresh ideas and problem-solving strategies

We may be creating some stories based on villains and monsters.
Pre-Requisites
Basic familiarity with D&D rules is helpful but not required
No need to prepare anything—just bring your creativity and a dice set (physical or digital).
Experience with RPGs, theater, writing, performance, strategy games, etc. will help.
Supply List
Pencil and paper, 4 6-sided die and 2 20-sided die or a dice rolling app (free ones available online or on the phone), the DM's guide is helpful but not required

Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
