Class Experience

In this one time class students will learn how to make a homemade dog treat. The students and I will work side by side during this class to mix up our dough, and bake them.

We will start the class by mixing up our dough. After we have the dough mixed we will socialize about our dogs while we make our dough into treats. While the treats are baking we will continue to socialize and we will also share our dogs with each other.

Please check the supply list below prior to enrolling for this course. Allergen note: We will be working with flour and peanut butter. If students have allergies please contact me prior to enrolling about substitution options.

Parental Guidance
Students will be using the oven during this course, please assist them as needed. We will be adding Cinnamon to these treats. It is a small amount that we will be using (1 tsp for the entire batch of treats). Some dogs can have a sensitive stomach to cinnamon, if your dog is sensitive to cinnamon you can omit that ingredient.

Teacher expertise and credentials
Hello. I teach a lot of classes about animals and I also teach some reading classes. All of my animal classes are taught about animals that I own.
I love to educate people about animals, animal abuse and neglect. Almost all of my animals come to me as rescues. I like to teach others how to properly care for animals so that the animals can live a long and happy life. Research isn't always reliable as you get different answers in different books and it can be hard to figure out what's best. I am always open to questions. If you are interested in getting a certain pet, just want to learn about different pets or have a pet and want to verify the care is correct, I welcome everyone. I have also trained service dogs and I currently own a trained service dog.
I have taught local classes about the needs of turtles and tortoises, and also community education Sign language classes.
I am a homeschool parent. I have been homeschooling for over 15 years. In our homeschool adventure we use a lot of books and research for learning. We do not use textbooks.
I also have 3 years of college completed. I studied teaching with an emphasis on special education.
