This Gluten Free Flourless chocolate cake is so rich and delicious!! The students will have an ingredient and material list before class. During class, we will look over the recipe and gather all the ingredients and tools we need. We will then make our gluten free flourless chocolate cake. While that is baking, we will make the whipped cream for the cake. I will briefly show students how to decorate the cake. After class, I would love for the students to upload pictures of their desserts for everyone to see. After our gluten-free flourless chocolate cake is finished, we will learn some tips for cleaning up! Learners will have their own copy of the recipe to print out before class! We will also look it over on the screen together. Students should be comfortable using a microwave, mixer, oven and reading measurements. I would appreciate parents overseeing the use of the oven and mixer during class. We will be using these measurements: 1/4 tsp, 1/2 tsp, 1 tsp, 1 Tbs, 1/2 cup, 1/4 cup, 1 cup. ** Please note transfers will only be accommodated up to 2 hours before class time. Thank you! ** I am a friendly and bubbly teacher who loves to encourage conversation! I always try to have fun and make class exciting and even a bit silly. I will try to teach your student how cooking can be a fun and useful.

Teacher expertise and credentials
Hello!!! It is so nice to meet you! My name is Lauren and I'm so excited to teach your child.
I will be teaching FUN and EXCITING baking, cake decorating and food based classes. We will be learning how to measure ingredients, the science behind baking and cooking, safety tips and techniques, and how to make delicious food safely. I will be teaching cake decorating techniques such as frosting cakes, making beautiful borders, stacking cakes, and applying fondant.
I have been teaching English with an online school for the last 3 years. Prior to that, I went to culinary school and then became a cake decorator. I make wedding cakes, birthday cakes, specialty cakes and various delicious desserts. I taught baking and cake decorating classes for 3 years with students ages 10-16.
My teaching philosophy is to HAVE FUN while learning! Kids have a lot their plate and work hard in school. Let's allow them to have some fun and maybe even make a mess! Children are fascinating and pick up on skills quite fast. I want to encourage their LOVE for cooking and baking from an early age!! I am a happy, patient, and bubbly teacher, so we will always have FUN!
I am married with two boys ages 6 and 9. They both love to spend time with me in the kitchen. In fact, my older son wants to be a baker when he gets older. Our family really enjoys spending time at the beach and just being together!
I can't wait to teach your wonderful child very soon!! Let's have FUN!!!
