Class Experience

In this class we will begin by discussing the difference between "conflict" and "negotiation." We will be discussing the ALLS Approach to negotiation: Atmosphere, Language, Listen and Solution. Each part of this negotiation strategy will be discussed at length and the students will be allowed and encouraged to provide their own examples in class so that they have real life scenarios and examples that they can relate the course material to.
Learning Goals
I want the students to know that negotiation is a skill that needs to be practiced, to know that negotiation skills will be used throughout their lives in many situations; and to learn to be more "empathetic" : life is a lot easier when everyone wins!
