In this 15 week class, students will hit the virtual road across the states to uncover the history hidden in the map; learning how state boundaries were decided and planning/budgeting their own trip to 3 National Parks.

Description

Class Experience

This class is taught in English.
Students will 
1.  Improve their understanding of US geography through the history hidden in the lines, contours, and culture that make up the U.S. map.
2.  Explain how cultural features, traits, and diffusion help define regions and analyze changes in regions over time.
3.  Identify political boundaries based on physical and human systems.
4.  Explain how human actions modify the physical environment within and between places, including how human-induced changes affect the environment.
5.  Explain ways geographic features and environmental issues have influenced historical events.
**if using an iPad, a second device may be beneficial for kahoots**

In addition to the Outschool classroom, this class uses:
1 hour 15 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
