In this one-time class we will learn about NASA. We will explore its history, formation, current goals, and possible future. Students will learn about how it operates and what centers and departments exist within the agency. We will pay special attention to the types of careers one can have in NASA and how NASA may grow and change in the coming decades. We will investigate questions such as: How was NASA formed? How is NASA funded? What current NASA programs are there? What role does it play in scientific exploration? How does NASA partner with other space agencies and companies? The class is lecture and discussion based. Learners will view and participate in a presentation full of images and some videos.
