Hello. I am excited to teach this class and show students a fun time while mastering math skills. I have been teaching for 20 years and have worked with students from pre-k through high school. I have taught special education in the self contained classroom as well as in the general education classroom where I would make modifications, accommodations, and differentiate instruction as needed so that all my students would be successful. I have always especially enjoyed my math classes. It was one of my favorite subjects as a student and is one of my favorite subjects to teach. I look forward to teaching our elementary students how to use their math skills to solve real world math problems.
No homework will be assigned for this class.
Paper and pencil or white board with marker
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
Assessment is informal with communication from the teacher to the parent on how their student did.
45 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
We will play games found online that allow students to practice the skill that they learn during the class. The students will not need to access them separately. The teacher will be sharing the games with them on her screen so the teacher and students play together.
