How Kids Can Change the World: Start an Organization
In this one hour course, students will learn how to create a social or political organization within their community that can change the world.

Learners will study with Elizabeth Venable MA MPA, who has raised over a million dollars for charity and founded multiple organizations. These have included political and social service causes, as well as environmental. They will learn to: Choose an issue Recruit members Advertise Make rules for their organization Structure their organization Choose strategies Set goals AND Accomplish change. I will ask compelling questions to elicit discussion. I will also provide a roadmap to making one's own organization. The class will involve peer discussion and brainstorming. Children will be able to see that they can have a role in decision-making and an impact on the world. We will discuss strategies for creating change and roadmaps for achieving goals. What is required is a deep desire for personal growth and change in the world; a desire to organize one's peers to take action.
Learning Goals
Students will learn the steps they need to take to organize their friends into a group to change the world. They will learn about decision-making and goal-setting. They will see how they can transform their dreams into reality.

Parental Guidance
Non-sectarian and non-political issues will be described such as social work services and the environment.
