The field of Prosthetic devices (artificial limbs) is a rapidly growing and changing field. In this course, students will be introduced to the field of Prosthetics from a clinical perspective. We will discuss what a prostheses is, how prosthetic devices work, and how prosthetic devices are made. this class will feature a demonstration of the materials used to create molds of limbs and prosthetic sockets. I hold a Bachelors of science in Health Sciences and a Masters of Science in Prosthetics and Orthotics. I have been a science educator for over 6 years. I am currently a full time Resident at a Prosthetics and Orthotics Clinic.
