The field of Prosthetic devices (artificial limbs) is a rapidly growing and changing field. In this course, students will be introduced to the field of Prosthetics from a clinical perspective. We will discuss what a prostheses is, how prosthetic devices work, and how prosthetic devices are made. this class will feature a demonstration of the materials used to create molds of limbs and prosthetic sockets. We will also briefly explore real life prosthetic devices. 

Students are not required to have any prior knowledge of this topic.

Parental Guidance
There will be several images of amputated limbs, but none of a graphic, wounded, or surgical nature.
