Class Experience

Students will gain a greater understanding of how to structure a professional screenplay by using Star Wars and its underlying methodology as an example.
I have a bachelor's degree in screenwriting and am a former film producer. I have worked at Sony Pictures, 20th Century Fox Film Studios, and Lionsgate Pictures and have worked on projects with a New York Times bestselling author, an Emmy-nominated TV Producer, and the creators of "Stranger Things" on Netflix.
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
1 hour per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
"The Writer's Journey" by Christopher Vogler is a fantastic source for this subject, but it is completely optional. Students will only need the willingness to learn and pay attention when coming to class.
