In this one time class, learners will participate in acting games and exercises that allow expression of and conversation surrounding emotions. This interactive class allows learners to think about big emotions, times in which different emotions arise, and ways in which we can identify and then express these emotion appropriately. Young learners often need help processing their emotions and how to handle them. By using acting games and techniques it allows learners to delve into emotions...
We will be discussing emotions but at an appropriate level for young children. Each learner can determine how much s/he would like to participate and express. My background is in early childhood and my masters thesis was written on using acting to help young children explore social-emotional needs. I also have background in special education and welcome all learners to come and have fun with our emotions and acting!
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
30 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
