This is a one-time course where I will be teaching students using a slide presentation about what Diabetes is. For this class students will receive a presentation using slides with a step by step explanation. The students will follow along listening and also asking their questions and concerns along the way. Students are encouraged to ask questions and share their thoughts. There will be different parts during the lecture where students will be asked to share their thoughts so they can better engage and remember the material as well as take notes of the information for later review. I enjoy classes where students show their interest by asking questions and share any previous knowledge that they may know and want to share. However participation is not mandatory. **Disclaimer: I don't recommend or encourage any type of treatment, this is for learning purposes only.** **No previous knowledge of the material is necessary, just a willingness to learn and an interest in the information given.** The course will be as follows: - Class Rules - Class Introductions and greetings - What's Glucose? - Insulin? - Diabetes 1 VS 2 - Q&A - Goodbyes Required experience or knowledge learners need: - Test Zoom: turn off / turn on the microphone and video. - Use raise hand button. *** For the best learning experience, please have your child (if possible) take this lesson in a quiet place where he/she can keep his/her camera on. This will help me make sure that the information is being understood as well as make the class more fun and engaging. ****
Learning Goals
