Description

Class Experience

In this one-time class, learners will apply their STEM skills to design and build an obstacle course for their favorite cars.

We will start with a show and tell, where each learner will show classmates their favorite cars and explain why they like them. Then, we get to building! Each student will design and build a fun obstacle course for their cars using wrapping paper rolls, cardboard, and tape. After building and testing, everyone will get a chance to spotlight their creation for everyone...

Students will applying the engineering design process and sharpen their STEM skills (science, technology, engineering, math).

1-3 favorite hot wheels or matchbox cars, empty wrapping paper or other cardboard tubes, cardboard scraps, tape (masking tape works great)

Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.

25 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
