Description
Class Experience
It is common to try to write and edit at the same time. However, these are two separate parts of the writing process. In this class, we will focus on writing without constraint and giving up the tendency to block our creative flow. After we introduce ourselves and take our first sips of hot chocolate, we will choose a seasonally relevant word on the spot to inspire a 4-minute freewrite. Then, we will share our work with the class one by one (beginning with me in order to loosen any nerves)....
After our first class, I will provide a prompt to inspire a freewrite that students will bring to the second class. In class number two, I will be providing feedback to homework.
We will need a notebook and something to write with in class.
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
1 hour 30 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
