This class will cover the tack needed to ride a horse. We will go over both English and Western tack and important tips to make sure your ride is going to be a safe one!

Class Experience

US Grade Kindergarten - 3
Beginner - Intermediate Level
We will go over both English tack and Western tack. Students will learn about the basic pieces of tack: pad, saddle, and bridle. Through video clips students will get to see real tack applied to a horse. Students can show their retention of tack vocabulary by answering questions in a discussion format. We will discuss the differences between both styles of tack and what purposes cause them to be different. Both of my own horses Billie and Pistol look forward to class with you!

Learning Goals

Students will learn the tack required to ride a horse. They will learn fun tips to stay on top of the horse! They will get to learn horse related terms and vocabulary.

I have ridden and worked with horses for 24 years. I have given in person riding lessons on and off over the last 15 years to beginner and intermediate riders. I have worked with kids through 4H as well as online through OutSchool.
