Class Experience

This is one of the most excited events in the equine world. Students will learn the different phases of combined training. . They will be given teacher created handouts to familiarize themselves with the class. Equine association rules and expectations of the class will be discussed including the horses way of going and behavior as well as tack and rider attire. The conditioning and training will be touched on.  Photos and videos will be used and discussed throughout.  Students will be given additional links and resources at the end of class so that they may continue learning more if they wish.

Learning Goals

Students will be able to explain what a combined training horse is. They will be familiar with the goals, rules and equipment needed. They will understand this differs from these classes when they are shown as separate everts. We will discuss what breeds excel the event and why. The origins of the class will be taught and students will learn how it has changed over time.
