Students will learn about the many aspects of horse care. They will explore both common and uncommon horse sports, breeds and riding events.
With thirty four years in the horse industry, I take horse education very seriously. My equine experience includes a degree in Animal Science/Horse Production and I have taught riding to hundreds of students. I have coached collegiate teams, coached individual riders in state and national events and been an active coach of horse judging, hippology, horse bowl and horse presentation teams and contestants. My students have preformed well and won or been competitive at the state and national level.
No grades will be given. Parents will only be contacted if there is an issue that needs to be addressed. Parent or student comments or concerns will always be welcome.
50 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
We will reference a variety of books, websites and videos but none will be required
