Denise has been a veterinary technician for 30 years and is passionate about pets, both large and small! She has a Master’s degree in Education and enjoys teaching both kids and adults. She has been teaching for 10+ years at a local community college in veterinary assistant programs, equine studies at a private university and also has taught in the Kids on Campus and Excursions in Learning Program. Denise is the founder of the Future Vet and Animal Science Academy, an organization on Outschool. At home Denise’s family has a variety of pets including; horses, goats, chickens and 3 indoor cats. Amy loves teaching about animals. She has a degree in education and have taught in the school system. Her passion for animals led her into veterinary medicine and was a vet technician for an equine practice. Recently she has entered into the canine rehab field where she helps dogs recover from injuries and surgeries through hydrotherapy. In her extra time, she enjoys training feral mustang horses and competing in dog agility trials.
Any worksheets will be provided at least 7 days prior to the start of class. Not all classes have worksheets.
In addition to the Outschool classroom, this class uses:
3 hours 20 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
One day four of this course we will be discussing diseases and medical conditions. If your learner is sensitive to animals being sick, this may not be a good fit.
