Let’s take math skills such as measuring, averaging and reading charts into the barn! In this class, students will apply these skills to assess the overall health of horses. Calculating their height, weight and body condition helps horse owners determine the amount of food to give them each day, the amount of medicine a vet should prescribe, and the overall condition of a horse. Learners do not need to be regular riders or horse owners to get value from this class. I will use selections...
By the end of the class, learners will know how to measure a horse’s height, evaluate a horse’s body condition, and calculate a horse’s weight.
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
