The hoof of the horses needs special care. A lot rides on the horses hoof such as being able to walk, run, and jump. In this class we will look at the hoof anatomy and the hoof angles. The students will learn how to take care of the horse's hooves and how to keep them healthy. We will also look at how wild horses take care of their hooves. The students will discuss barefoot trimming and shoeing. We will look at the arguments on both sides of the barefoot trimming and shoeing debate. The students will learn about diseases and infections that can happen with the hoof. The students will need to study the hoof anatomy and read the articles I post before class. After class there will be no homework. No background knowledge is needed.

Hello! My name is Kellie. I have over 15 years of experience teaching students in a variety of settings.
I have continued to expand my teaching experience and explore new areas of interest. I have taught students of various ages and backgrounds, both in traditional classroom settings and online platforms.
I strive to create engaging and interactive lessons that cater to each student's unique learning style, fostering their confidence and love for learning.
In terms of my qualifications, I hold a Bachelor of Science degree in Elementary Education with a minor in Early Childhood and a Reading Endorsement. My passion lies in teaching foundational skills, particularly in reading. I firmly believe that every student has the potential to learn, but it's important to recognize and accommodate their individual learning needs and pace. In my classes, I provide multiple approaches to learning a concept, ensuring that each student has the opportunity to grasp it in a way that resonates with them.
Beyond my teaching experience, I have a diverse background in agriculture and farming. My husband and I are actively involved in raising quarter horses for working cow horse competitions. I find joy in merging my love for agriculture with my teaching endeavors, incorporating elements of farm life and nature into my lessons. It's a unique way to engage students and broaden their understanding of the world around them.
Thank you for taking the time to read my profile. I'm excited to connect with more learners and families, and I look forward to the opportunity to inspire a love for learning in your child.
