In this one time class horsey kids are invited to gather together to talk all things horses while making this mixed media canvas (or wood panel) for their room. First we will paint a background-with a quick discussion on horizon lines. While our background paint dries crafters can either draw their own horse and cut it out, or use an image from a magazine or that they have printed. When the paint is dry we will collage the horse picture onto the background, and then use blending techniques to complete the piece.

Teacher expertise and credentials
I was a horsey girl. I didn't grow up in the city, but I didn't have my own horse either. I spent all my spare time and energy on all things horsey and when I was 18 years old I left home to pursue the dream I had since I was 3 years old: To become a professional horseback rider....and I did. I rode horses professionally for almost 10 years. I understand horse kids at the deepest level-just ask my two horse-passionate daughters.
