Let’s learn about horses! Do you have learner passionate about horses? Together we will learn how to care for a horse, learn basic riding techniques, learn the parts of the horse, learn about safety around horses and more!

This is for learners aged 8-10 years. If your learner is older, search for the same class ages 11-13. There is no prior knowledge or experience needed for this course. Students will learn the basics of horses, how to stay safe when working with horses and how to care for and basic training techniques. There will be a variety of whole-group and small-group discussion, lecture, videos, images and realia to help students learn the content. Videos and images will be me working with my own...
At the end of the camp, students will be able to: -identify common tack used -Identify gaits of the horse -Explain how to be safe -Know how to take care of your horse
Students may be asked to prepared questions or things to share for some classes.
There will be some print-outs students will need to print out before camp begins. (These will be sent one week before the first class begins.) Students will need a pencil to write with.
On day five, we will play a review game about what we have learned.
3 hours 45 minutes per week in class, and an estimated 0 - 1 hours per week outside of class.
