Our camp will feature the following topics: Science & Nature: Meet a real horse - Learn about what he eats, his daily schedule and how to stay safe at a horse farm. Sports: Types of riding - videos and a look at real equipment, unmounted exercises to imagine what it’s like to ride and jump! Arts and Crafts: Make a horse barn busy book with a cereal box and basic supplies. Language: Learn how to “speak” horse as we explore the ways that our equine friends communicate with each other and...
Students will learn all about horses while participating in activities in most subjects—from art and reading to language and social studies.
Hilary is a professional equestrian and farm owner with over 30 years of experience. She is an award-winning equestrian journalist and former senior editor at Dressage Today magazine. Hilary has decades of experience teaching as a horseback riding instructor, master tutor for the Princeton Review and overnight camp counselor/director of riding.
For craft day, students will need a cereal box, scissors, markers, printer paper and tape.
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
