Hop, Skip, Jump! is a beginner grammar class which introduces early learners (age 4-6) to verbs. Students will learn what verbs are through: instruction, slides, pictures, games, and stories. Students will sort words (pictures) into "verb" or "not a verb" groups. Students will play a "Would You Rather..." game, using verb pictures. Students will participate in a group activity, choosing verbs to complete a Silly Story. Students will also be provided with a worksheet which parents can print prior to the class. This class is at a pre-reading or early-reading level. Students are not required to be reading as pictures will be used to reinforce the concepts.

Students will learn the definition of an action verb, and will be able to create sentences with action verbs.Other Details

A worksheet will be provided prior to class. Students may use pencils, crayons, or markers.

Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
