This is a unique class where learners will get a beginning idea of what it will take to catch that prized bass and become a skilled bass fisherman. 1. Learners will have the opportunity to find out what type of fishing equipment (rods and reels and fishing line) they will need to get the job done. 2. Dr.J. will discuss what type of lures to use as well as sharing what are his favorite lures. 3. Different techniques of bass fishing will be discussed. 4. Learners will find out where are the best types of places to go to bass fish. The structure of the class will be the following: The beginning of the class will be an introduction and a get to know you. The Middle part will cover the information above. The end part of the class will be an opportunity to share our fishing and bass fishing experience with each other, show pictures of fish caught and ask questions. Dr. J will use different techniques to teach including the following: Showing and discussing visual material, pictures, videos, interactive sharing, and questions and answers. Learners are encouraged, but not required to bring their bass fishing equipment and lures to the class well as having pictures available (if desired) of fish previously caught by them

Teacher expertise and credentials
My name is Robert Justis but I will go by Dr. J here on Outschool. I have college degrees up to a doctorate degree. I have taught students for over 30 years in various settings, mainly in brick and mortar school (all subjects but focusing on Science and History), and also home school, after school clubs, large group and one on one settings. I have also coached basketball and soccer teams. I believe that it is important for students to experience and discover the world around them so that they can be the person they were meant to be. My hobbies are fishing and kayaking. As a Outschool teacher I will be conducting classes on nature, basketball skills, fishing, and understanding culture.
