Students will learn exactly what it takes to write a strong essay and all of the pieces of the puzzle that seems so hard to understand in written communication. They will be instructed in how to 'hook' the reader, create a strong thesis statement, and follow an essay writing format
We will work on all parts of this writing in class together as a group. Some outside writing may be expected from the student as a result of class discussion.
Learners will receive pdfs of all material needed and will need to come with material printed for class.
All assessment will be part of the ongoing learning and students will be able to self-assess as well as group consensus of success. The idea is for the learner to clearly be able to recognize their own progress.
50 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
