What's included

20 live meetings
15 in-class hours
Homework
1-2 hours per week. Homework will be given on Friday and the learners will have one week to complete the assignment. Homework consists of multiple-choice questions, true or false, short answer, analysis, and essay questions. I provide detailed feedback for each assignment so that the learners can evaluate which area is lacking. The learners find this very useful to reinforce what they have learned from the class. A total of 5-6 lab exercises will be given for each core topic. Due to limited amount of time, the learners will be completing the assignment with some basic instructions and will be required to complete the pre- or post-lab questions.
Letter Grade
A comprehensive end-of-course exam will be administered at the conclusion of the program to assess the students' overall understanding of the material.
Grading
Grades will be available upon completion of all assignments, including lab exercises. Grading Scale: A: 89.5-100% B: 80-89.4% C: 70-79.4% D: 60-69.4% F: 50-59.4%

Welcome to my honors high school biology class! We will cover basic topics of life science that are typically covered in first part of high school biology curriculum, including scientific methods, chemistry, biochemistry, cell biology, metabolism, mitosis/meiosis, and human genetics. This high school biology course is designed to give students a detailed understanding of the concepts that lead to success in other advanced courses, such as AP Biology and AP Environmental Science.

⭐If you miss the class, you can access all lecture recordings from the classroom page within 2-3 hours, so you can always watch the recorded videos.

CLASS FORMAT:
The lectures will be delivered via hand-written class notes and PowerPoint slides. The material of the class is intermediate. This course is suitable for those who like to get challenged on a daily basis.

UPCOMING TOPICS: See syllabus

OPTIONAL LAB EXERCISES:

For each lab exercise, there will be demo/pre-lab with the teacher, and the following week will be lab exercises/lab reports/lab quiz. They will be completed outside of the class time.
