I am a certified PK-6 Virginia teacher with additional certifications and specialization in Gifted and Talented Advanced Academics and the inquiry-based International Baccalaureate (IB) Primary Years Programme (PYP). I have over 15 years of experience teaching for schools, homeschool groups, and families around the world. I believe all children have an inherent love for learning, and, because I love math and believe math literacy is an essential skill that all children can learn to the highest levels, I have specialized in math and STEAM-related education.
Online assignments through Beast Academy Online (license provided to you at no additional cost) will be given following each class. Please anticipate and allow time for 1-2 hours of homework for these practice lessons following each class in order to get the most out of this class. To learn to do math well, students need to practice doing the math independently. However, homework and the class overall is not graded.
All supplies and materials will be provided.
This class is not graded, but upon request I can provide a written summative report at the end of the class. Please contact me directly if this is something you would like to request.
