In this two day cooking class of 55 minutes each, we will bake a bouncy sponge cake a.k.a Castella cake. The honey flavoured sponge dessert is the same as a store- brought flavour & texture, maybe even better!! ᵔᴥᵔ An advanced baking class!

Class Experience
INGREDIENTS- 2 eggs 5 tbsp sugar 1/3 cup bread flour 1 1/2 tbsp warm water 1 1/2 tbsp honey TOOLS- - Bread pan- 7× 3 inch (approx) OR Round cake pan- 5 to 7 inch - Aluminum foil (optional) - Parchment paper - scissor ( to shape both paper and foil for the base and the walls of the pan to create double layers) - sieve - spatula - measuring spoons - oven - Electric Whisk (Amazon example below) https://www.amazon.ca/Oster-FPSTHMCN1W-33A-Speed-Mixer-White/dp/B01N02FA3R/ref=mp_s_a_1_8?dchild=1&keywords=electric+whisk&qid=1611478569&sr=8-8
I will be providing feedback at the end of each class. Or provide a written assessment if time runs out :)
1 hour 50 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
An electric whisk and oven will be used, please be careful or be under a parental supervision in case inexperienced with these machines. Allergens- dairy; if soy or nuts allergy, please check the flour package for any of these ingredients
