Class Experience

US Grade 2 - 3
Knowing when to use "there, their, and they're" can be very confusing for young writers. In this class we will start out by having a discussion about these three words; we will answer questions using "there, their, and they're". We will also practice making our own sentences using these words; students will have an opportunity to make their own sentences using one of the words, then two of the words, and finally all three words.
In this class students will receive some instruction through lecture and then they will have opportunity to work individually and to interact with their classmates.
Students with the ability to form their own sentences will do well in this class.

Hello, my name is Parri!
I am so excited to be teaching with Outschool. I hope to teach classes in Phonics, Math, Art, and Sea Glass.
I have been teaching for 28 years; I taught for 25. 5 years in a Brick and Mortar school and for 2.5 years online. I have taught Reading, Language, Phonics, Literature, Spelling, Math, Social Studies, Canadian Studies, and Science. I LOVE teaching Phonics and Reading. Online I have been teaching children ages 4-14 to speak English. I also do tutoring with these ages and in these subjects both online and in person.
I believe teaching should be fun and at the same time assist students to reach their highest potential. I like to teach using games and activities that encourage learning in a fun way! I want my students to know I care about them and their learning.
One of the first classes I hope to teach is one about Sea Glass; I LOVE the beach. Since I was a child, I have been roaming beaches looking for sea glass; I also love making things with the glass too!
I look forward to meeting your child and having lots of fun learning together!
