Homeschool Tween Social Club

Learners will love this ongoing class that is just for them!  This is the age of lots of changes emotionally, hormonally, and physically.  Friends will have the opportunity to talk about anything they would like to share.  Ms. Maria has worked with this age group as a "lunch bunch" in a private school for many years.

The class routine will be made up of the following:
Introductions/Greetings
Sharing anything that is going on, something they have watched or read and would like to discuss, etc.
Bonding Game or Activity

Week of November 1st: Back to School "Real Talk" - Learners will discuss any concerns about returning to school, whether in person, virtual, or homeschool. Write or Draw in our Journal.

Week of November 8th: Organization.  Do I have to do it? Learners will learn the benefits or organizing their own binders or portfolios. Write or Draw in our Journal.

Week of November 15th:  Favorite fall/harvest activity  - Triumphs & Goals - Write or Draw in our Journal

Week of November 29th: Procrastinating - Who Me?  Maybe Tomorrow? Triumphs & Goals - Write or Draw in our Journal

Week of December 6th: How are we keeping healthy- body and mind? Share goals to "keep moving".  Write or Draw in our Journal.

Week of December 13th: Gratitude - What are we thankful for? Let's keep up healthy habits.  Even if we are home, let's get dressed and brush our teeth daily.  Write or Draw in our Journal.

Week of December 20th: Learners will vote on Brain Quest or Escape Room style activity.

Week of December 27th: Things we want to achieve in 2023.

This will be an ongoing class format and families can subscribe at any time.  Classes are stand alone and prior week attendance is not required.

This is an inclusive class in which students of all abilities are welcome. If a student is unable to communicate verbally they are welcome to use the chat. If your student has any other needs that require accommodations please let me know and we will work develop a way for your learner to participate in a way that they are able.
