Join fellow homeschooled students in our multi-grade social club. Students will meet new friends, play games, and engage in conversations. Come ready to have fun! Students will introduce themselves each class and have the opportunity to share fun facts about themselves such as: favorite games, favorite television show, what they love to learn about. We will play games, and do art activities. Students will have time to spend in conversations building friendships with fellow classmates. I look forward to seeing you in class soon! Class Structure: Introductions Class game or activity (these will change weekly) Engagement between students (asking each other questions, question games) This group also will use breakout rooms. Students will be reminded about safety rules prior to the start of the breakout rooms. I will monitor each room and help provide guidance when needed. These will be used 1-2 times per month. Current Weekly Topics: Week of 9/18: Creative Day - bring art to create while we talk Week of 9/25: Scavenger Hunt Week of 10/2: This or That Week of 10/9: Zoomed in Week of 10/16: Creative Day Week of 10/23: Scavenger Hunt Week of 10/30: This or That Week of 11/6: Ask a friend a question Week of 11/13: Creative Day Week of 11/20: Break Week Thanksgiving Week of 11/27: This or that Week of 12/4: Creative Day Week of 12/11: Scavenger Hunt Week of 12/17: Bring your favorite thing to share with your friends Break from 12/24-1/6

Hello! My name is Tammy. I am so excited to teach your child! I grew up and live in Kentucky. I received a Bachelors of Science in Psychology (Kentucky Wesleyan College), Elementary Education (Indiana Wesleyan) and then pursed my Masters in Special Education (University of North Dakota). I have many different experiences working with children. I have worked in our community mental health center as case manager and youth coordinator. I have also worked in a specials education classroom. For the last four years I have taught English online.
I’m a stay at home mom and homeschool my children. My husband and I became foster parents and during our journey adopted two of our seven children. As a family we love camping and traveling. We have a fun and crazy life, but love every minute of it.
I believe learning is not stationary but instead interactive. When I present material, I believe in students moving, creating and engaging in many different ways with the topics. I will be teaching several different topics with Outschool from reading to social clubs.
