Class Experience

Language Arts: Spelling: Students will learn to read, write and spell the list words given in class. Students will practice spelling through writing, reading, and spelling aloud. This allows students to use several of their senses to help practice spelling and will better help them remember how to spell.
Alphabet Art:
This lesson provides several positive learning outcomes. By observing, discussing, and drawing things that focus on a single letter of the alphabet, the learners are able to gain a deeper understanding of language arts, as well as our world around us. Other learning outcomes include positive communication and critical thinking skills. Group discussion during the presentation and activity promotes positive communication, as does sharing the artworks in the concluding discussion. Additionally, the learners will utilize critical thinking skills by applying, analyzing and synthesizing their prior knowledge and experiences into the class discussion as well as into the artwork they create.
Animal Kingdom Drawing:
This lesson provides several positive learning outcomes. By drawing one animal and learning about its classification, the learners are able to gain a deeper understanding of science and art in our world around us.

Social Learning Class:
Learn to use your imagination, social skills, and confidence.

Math: Building a good foundation in Math skills for their age level.
Kathy- I am a veteran homeschool mom of 20+ years. I also have a Masters Degree in Teaching and Learning with Technology. I believe through reading, writing, and spelling aloud, students will better remember how to spell words, and practicing weekly will help them become better spellers. I believe each student learns differently so by providing several different ways for students to practice their spelling is a goal I include in each of my classes. I try to also use patience and go at the speed of each student with all of my classes.
My name is Kim, and I am a dedicated educator interested in providing an enriching educational experience for your student(s). I graduated from the University of Georgia with a Master of Education in Early Childhood Education, a Bachelor of Fine Arts in both Art Education and Arts/Crafts (Ceramics), and I hold a Georgia Educator Certificate (T5) in Art (P-12). I specialize in Art Education but have taught core academic classes as well. I have over 25 years of experience in public, charter, and private schools, as well as homeschool and online education. Given my range of experience teaching students of various ages and ability levels, I have a well-rounded view of education. I pride myself on the ability to adapt to many different learning styles and curricula, making me highly responsive to the individual needs of each child while fostering each child’s physical, social, and intellectual development. I am versatile enough to suit whatever educational needs you may have in whatever format may be best suited to facilitate your students’ changing needs and goals.

My enthusiasm and passion for education have given me the ability to demonstrate effective classroom management strategies while maintaining a fun and respectful learning environment. I possess strong organizational and communication skills that allow me to work effectively with students, parents, staff and the community. I am patient and caring, and I provide a safe, prepared environment in which students can learn in a nurturing and positive manner. I strongly believe that each student must be given the time and individualized attention they deserve.
Hello my name is teacher Andrea. I am so excited to teach your child. I have a BA degree from Park University and I am TESOL certified . I have 16 years of teaching experience, specializing in teaching children speech, education, and special needs. My strongest areas of teaching is my ability to make learning fun for my students and my ability to connect with my student. My teaching techniques always ensure that the child is engaged and having fun. Anytime learning and fun are combined , it will keeps your child coming back for more. As a teacher and mother of 3 children I know that not all children are the same, so I take pride in the fact that I am able to find your child's' way of learning, processing information, and meeting their learning educational needs so they learn the best. I have a huge passion for teaching children and children with special needs. I love watching children grow and feel proud that they understand the lessons. I have been teaching for 16 years and to say this is my passion forever is completely true. I have been teaching in the virtual class room for over 4 years and I love every second of it. Being able to help students and get to know them from all over is a huge joy. I have a background in behavioral therapy. People do get confused with this, most people think that this is all about children with problem behaviors but truly its about being trained to keep the children's attention. Once you keep the child's attention they want to come back for more. When they come back for more not only are they learning more but they are retaining what they learned. I am trained in these areas retaining information, keeping attention ,ability to adapt for all different types of learners. I have a background in speech, reading, handwriting, math, and so much more. I have done tutoring and helped students far past their academic milestones.
handwriting/printing: Paper and 3 lined paper, a printing out is provided if needed, but a notebook with this paper is recommended. Spelling: Paper Pencil Paper and Pencil to write list words At the end of each class, we will play an interactive game on the website nearpod.com. I will provide the code in class. and it will be at the end of class. Let me know if you have any questions. Alphabet Art The only materials needed are something to draw with and something to draw on. Animal Kingdom Drawing Learners will only need something to draw with, and something to draw on. Social Learning Toys or your child's choice I encourage to bring at least a doll, figure, or superhero. Anything that can ask a person. Math-Whiteboard, dry erase marker with some type of eraser, pencil, and paper.
In addition to the Outschool classroom, this class uses:
3 hours 45 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
All of these classes are a continuation of Part 1.
Language Arts: Spelling: Because of age of students, Parents are recommended to be nearby to help as needed.
