~Give yourself the lifelong gift of music~ In Homeschool Introduction to Piano we will cover: + How to sit at the piano + Finger Numbers + Piano Tones + High Notes and Low Notes + & we will play your first piece on the piano! This class will also provide students with an opportunity to socialize and get to know other homeschoolers around the world. Each class we will: + Review sight reading in treble clef and bass clef + play songs that we learn from our lesson books + play musical related games + learn about famous composers + spend time hanging out with our friends! Classes will be taught in a non-cumulative style so that students can join at any time. This class is the perfect accompaniment to private music lessons, but can also be enjoyed on it’s own! We will be using Alfred’s Basic Piano Library, Lesson Book - Level 1A. Please come to class prepared with either a physical or digital copy of the book. What we cover on a week to week basis will be learner directed and determined by the level of the students in the class, as well as how quickly we are able to move through the material. Joining My Studio: + Private lessons for beginner and intermediate students* + Spring and Winter Virtual Recitals that give students invaluable experience in public speaking and performance + Optional Music game days where students get together and reinforce their skills through fun games and exercises + Lessons encompass Classical Piano, Music Theory, Music History and Ear Training instruction + Each lesson is customized to the students needs and interests, while still ensuring that they receive a solid foundation in the Fundamentals of Music Students will be taught: + how to read sheet music in bass and treble clefs + how to play scales, chords, and arpeggios + music history: bringing the music to life! + music theory: why we do what we do! + to play their favourite songs! *Students must be at reading level Other private lessons available (1 hour, 45 minutes, 30 minutes) please send me a message!
