In this 8 lesson course we will learn about the Elements of Art! I will be demonstrating the projects and techniques in a series of step-by-step videos & slideshows. Week 1Lesson 1Exploring LineIn this assignment we will learn several zentangle patterns and complete an artwork using these patterns.Week 2Lesson 2Exploring ColorStudents will learn about the color wheel and go on a color scavenger hunt to create their own!Week 3Lesson 3Exploring ShapeThis lesson students will learn about shape. Students will create a composition of geometric shapes featuring warm and cool colors.Week 4Lesson 4Exploring ValueThis lesson we will learn about value. Students will create an abstract value drawing. Students will learn to shade and blend values in pencil.Week 5Lesson 5Exploring Form & Texture Part 1We will use model magic clay to create pinch pots. I will demonstrate how to create vessels and add texture to their design! This is a two week project due to clay & paint drying time.Week 6Lesson 6Exploring Form & Texture Part 2This lesson we will finish our pinch pots.Week 7Lesson 7Exploring SpaceStudents will create landscape in watercolor. We will create a watercolor painting focusing on atmospheric perspective.Week 8Lesson 8Elements of Art ProjectStudents will create a choice artwork demonstrating 3 of the 7 Elements of Art from the course.

1. Drawing paper 2. Water color or heavy paper 2. Ruler 3. Pencil 4. Black permanent marker 5. Colored Pencils or marker set 6. Watercolors 7. Model Magic Clay- a 4 oz bag will make two pinch pots. You can find on amazon, Walmart, Target and craft stores. I purchased a 4oz bag at Target for $3.49 8.
