Class Experience

US Grade 4 - 6
In today's society, kids are turning to the internet to gain valuable friendships and connections more than ever before! Kids need connections with friends, especially during those tween years when friends become so important to kids! This club is a safe space where kids can do just that!

In this club, your student will have the opportunity to take a break from academic subjects and just be able to have fun with other kids! They can discuss all sorts of fun things in this class.

In this club we will:

- learn how to introduce ourselves
- learn how to make friends and engage in conversations
- play games to get to know each other and maintain friendships
- discuss things in our lives like our pets and activities.
- learn how to properly interact with others to gain and maintain friends
- learn amazing things from each other

Each class will be learner-directed with monitoring through the class for appropriate discussions. As the class becomes more cohesive, students are encouraged to bring topics to discuss to class. When students don't bring topics to discuss, I will introduce discussion topics and elicit conversations from the students. I'll gently encourage students to participate but I will never force a student to participate. It's ok to join class and listen but not speak! I hope to give students a safe space to feel empowered to speak in class.
