Class Experience
This tutoring session is geared towards increasing reading skills and confidence. It will focus on foundational reading skills such as phonological awareness, rhyming, reading fundamentals, fluency, tone, and comprehension. We will use a variety of engaging resources and make learning fun. My teaching style and learning goals focus on helping learners to feel more confident while growing their reading skills in a nurturing way. Students will increase their knowledge of reading skills by using research based-effective, reading strategies. Depending on the learner's age and abilities, we will use educational activities such as games, songs, phonemic awareness, word families, word building, fluency, intonation, comprehension, and more....
Learners will need: Blank paper, pencil, crayons, scissors, and other materials as necessary.
40 minutes per class, and maybe some time outside of class.
