US Grade 1
In this first-grade class, we will be reviewing the complete first-grade curriculum. Learners will review the first-grade curriculum and we will work on skills learners will need to succeed in 1st grade. Each lesson will stand alone. Learners can join anytime. Learners will receive a worksheet packet at the beginning of each week to complete during class. Class structure: Greetings Video sight words rap Calendar Kindergarten/first grade Math (clock, adding, tens, one's subtraction, etc) 3 sight words Science ( each week a new planet will be introduced in order) The science project will be demonstrated on video. We will learn to write a hypothesis Weather basic details - Week 1 Mercury Week 2 Venus Week 3 Earth Week 4 Mars Week 5 Jupiter Week 6 Saturn Week 7 Uranus Week 8 Neptune Learners will be introduced to each planet with an age and grade-appropriate curriculum. In this class, learners will need paper and pencil crayons, counters for multisensory math. Worksheets will be provided by the instructor weekly. Week of March 28th, 2022 Reading: 3 sight words Grammar: Write 3 sentences 1 for each sight word using correct punctuation. Math: adding in tens Science: Mercury: temperature, location in our solar system. Social studies: Continents Story sequencing Week of April 5th 2022 Reading: 3 sight words Grammar: Write 3 sentences 1 for each sight word using correct punctuation. Science: Venus temperature, location in our solar system. Math: subtracting using tens Reading comprehension short story. Social Studies: Continents Week of April 12th, 2022 Reading: 3 sight words Grammar: Write 3 sentences 1 for each sight word using correct punctuation. Math: adding regrouping using tens and ones Science: Earth temperature, location in our solar system. Story prediction Social Studies: Famous landmark Week of April 19th, 2022 Reading: 3 sight words Grammar: Write 3 sentences 1 for each sight word using correct punctuation. Math: adding regrouping using tens and ones Science: Mars temperature, location in our solar system. Reading comprehension Social Studies: Countries
