Looking for a fun, high-interest, and engaging learning group for your 9th grader? This course is individualized so each and every student is working on their own plan while still being able to learn with their peers. For over 10 years we have worked with homeschoolers in a microschool co-op Ms. Iman started. Our Kind Curriculum©️ is engaging, project-based, and sparks the wonder in our students. Our curriculum covers the following: 🗣️Language Arts Skills ➗ Math Skills 😁Social Emotional Skills 🎓 Leadership Skills 💸 Entrepreneurship 🔬STEM Skills ✍️Writing Skills 🧪Science Skills 📖Reading Comprehension Skills 🎨 Art Skills During this class students will be able to build connections and friendships with peers while having fun learning all the skills they need to know during 9th grade. Our courses are short and done with very small groups of learners so students can really have the chance to have the attention of the teacher and connect with other students. Each class covers the following Day 1: Math: 30 minutes of group fluency, minilessons, and Word Problems, 20 minutes of independent lessons where students work through fluency, concept development, and independent practice at their own pace with precise and supportive digital and teacher feedback. Day 2: English Language Arts and Writing Skills with minutes minilessons and discussions to include stories, reading comprehension skill building, videos, poetry, and Writing Assignments with feedback Day 3: Hands-on Project-Based Learning Activity and Individual Work Time to include Art, Social Studies, Science, and STEM projects. Projects will typically cover optional assignments from the book we are working on that week I pride myself on being a loving, engaging, and Kind teacher as do all of our teachers at Kind Academy. We value student opinions and like them to have a chance to interact with each other. Our teachers use hands-on props, videos, songs, and stories to engage with learners.

I started a successful microschool in 2016 that promoted wonder based learning, hands on play, and high interest activities. Our proven curriculum has influences from Montessori, Reggio, Waldorf and other self directed educational philosophies. It has been published and used with high reviews from parents, schools, and co-ops. I have a lower and upper school and do vertical planning to make sure the needs of all my learners are met.
