This Homeroom class has been created as a "pod" style so that learners can work together in all core subjects weekly. The format of this class will also fulfill Health/Art requirements for most homeschooling families. Learners will share their thoughts on a different topic each week and complete an activity. We will foster activities to showcase each student's creativity and support a different way to learn elected material. My teaching style is to guide an informal discussion with certain questions about different topics and encourage individual thoughts. I have found success with having learners write or draw their ideas and goals. Each learner will use their style for their goals. Learners will vote on different activities to keep our minds refreshed every week. Below is a breakdown of what we will cover over the course of the class: Week of September 11 - Back to schooling! How do we feel about the new school year? Goal Setting & Journal Discussion Week of September 18 - Organization - Do you have your own system? Share your best tips with the group. Week of September 25 - Procrastination - Are you affected by this? How do we battle the feeling? Write or Draw in our Journal. Week of October 2- Basic Computer Skills.
