Class experience
During this one time class, students will whip up a batch of homemade dough using simple ingredients. The addition of Kool Aid adds a vibrant color and a WONDERFUL smell. Yum! This dough is NOT edible, but wonderful for sensory and fun STEAM play! During class we will start with a short introduction of all learners, we will review materials and ingredients, then we will dive in to the experiment. Kool Aid Modeling Dough Ingredients 1 cup flour ½ cup HOT water (can use a glass liquid measuring cup and heat for 1 minute, or until bubbles form, prior to class) ¼ cup table salt 1 packet Kool-Aid (any flavor) 1 Tbsp baby oil (or any cooking oil) Materials Large Mixing Bowl 1 cup dry measuring cup 1/4 cup dry measuring cup Wooden spoon or other large spoon for mixing
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
Parental guidance is needed as we will need to handle some hot water during preparation of ingredients
