In this one-time class we are going to make 5 different cat toys. We will also talk a little bit about some safety things to think about when making cat toys like choking hazards and using glues that they could inhale. The 5 different toys we are gong to make are toilet paper tube ball, catnip sock tube, knotty spider, toilet paper fray roll, and a cat wand. I have worked with children ages 3-11 for 23 years. I have also always had a cat in my life since I was 1. I have helped many cats give birth to kittens and raised many cats.
The supplies that are needed are toilet paper rolls at least 3 but more might be good, a sock big enough to tie a not on the end of it, scissors, catnip, hair elastic, strips of either an old shirt or fabric, a dowel or something to use as a wand and some ribbon.
Learners may need help with scissors and tying knots.
