US Grade 2 - 3
In this class, we will learn about verbs, what they are...We will cover what a verb is: an action word. We will use a powerpoint and clips from the movie Home Alone to demonstrate action words. We will view a slide or a scene and decide which verb goes with the slide or scene. For example, we will see a slide and ask Keviin----- down the stairs on a sled. Then students will answer: Kevin SLID down th stairs on a sled. This class is structures in such a way that we are actually helping Kevin to defeat the burglers trying to enter his home. My teaching style is upbeat and positive. Learners will interact by answering questions. This will be a fun, upbeat class.

Teacher expertise and credentials
I teach Reading, Grammar, History and have: taught full-time, and worked as a substitute teaching many different subjects in classes from Kinder to 12th grade. My majors in college ranged from Child Development, to Theater Arts, to English, and an additional History minor. In addition to teaching I am a published author. My philosophy of teaching is that we are all life-long learners and we never stop learning. To that end, every lesson should fun and enjoyable, while teaching, and/or learning, something new. The students should have fun while they learn, as that's the way we learn the most.
