Staying home alone is a big milestone for any child and parent! Whether it's for a few minutes- or more! If you and your child are ready to make that transition, be prepared. In this one time class, we will discuss safety tips to help your child be prepared and not scared! This is a discussion based class. The students will be provided with worksheets. We will go through a check list of safety guidelines and also fill out important and emergency numbers. Some topics we will discus during class include: emergency numbers and important numbers to know answering the door or phone social media safety kitchen and cooking safety (It's best to stay away until parents get home!) fire safety- and fire extinguisher dealing with pets appropriate activities you can do
Learning Goals
The students will be able to confidently know what to do when they are old enough to stay home alone.

Parental Guidance
Students will have a contact list of emergency numbers they will fill out during class. If they want to have the numbers prepared before class, they can.
Supply List
There will be worksheets posted in the classroom that the student should print before class.
External Resources
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
