Class Experience

US Grade 5 - 8
Beginner Level
In this ongoing 12-week course, students will explore the fundamentals of holistic health, covering topics like sleep habits, hydration, mindful movement, stress management, holistic nutrition, and emotional well-being. Each week, we'll dive into a specific theme through interactive lectures, group discussions, and hands-on activities.

The class includes:

Lectures: Informative sessions on health concepts.
Discussions: Group reflections on personal habits.
Interactive activities: Journaling, movement exercises, and simple health challenges.

My teaching style is engaging and interactive, using games, slides, and video clips to illustrate key concepts. Students will have multiple opportunities to ask questions and share experiences during live sessions. Each week concludes with an assignment to apply what they've learned.

I designed this holistic health course to be a great fit for homeschooling and microschooling families, as it integrates science and practical wellness into a structured curriculum, supporting both academic and personal growth. For students in traditional schools, the course provides additional life skills that are often not covered in school, such as stress management, nutrition, and emotional well-being. It encourages lifelong healthy habits, making it valuable for any educational setting.

Students can enroll at any time and continue with the course until they have completed the full 12 weeks.

The first semester begins in September and runs through December.

The second semester begins in January and runs through March.

Note: This course does not cover sensitive subjects such as reproductive health, weight management, restrictive dieting, or personal medical choices. Nor does it cover medical conditions or training. It uses science-based information about holistic health and general nutritional information.

Each week, there is a writing assignment that asks students to reflect on how they are using what they have learned in the course.

All students must have their cameras turned on when they enter the meeting. This course is meant to be interactive so students are encouraged to keep their cameras turned on, but this is not a requirement.

*The standard refund policy for Outschool will be followed. You may request a full refund up until 24 hours before the course begins for that session. If students are absent, a replay will be available or a transfer may be provided upon request as long as there is a suitable option for transfer.
