In this ongoing class, students are given a new creative topic to write about for approximately 5-10 minutes, then students get to share and discuss their writing and ideas with the class.

Description

Class Experience

During this class, students will be writing with creative topics and prompts each week to write as much on the topic in approximately 5-10 minutes. After the timed writing with the given prompt students will share and discuss their ideas for the writing. The topics and prompts given each class are meant to increase creativity and invigorate their imaginative writings. 
Week of 12/1: Students will be given the prompt: "It's the night of Christmas Eve and you hear a thump thump on your roof....

Students will gain experience and confidence in their creative writing abilities and sharing their work in a group social setting.

Students will need paper and a writing utensil (pencil is suggested)

30 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
